Is LimeWire Illegal ?
I just wanted to find out because some of my friends told me it is illegal and that I should stop downloading songs from it .
Limewire itself is completely legal. However most of the content avaliable to download is illegal because its copyrighted. So if you are downloading music, then thats illegal. However if the files you download are completely legal though I dont know of any copyrightfree stuff on LimeWire then you are in the clear.

I dont want to get in trouble in any way. I have heard so much about this site. I went on it and it looked pretty good, but I saw some thing that said PP, I read on a website that use PP on your own risk cause it is illegal. I really want to get FREE music for my Ipod Nano. I spent all my money on my Itunes card for Itunes. Maybe you could tell me some good sites that let you download FREE music on your Ipod, But I want it to be FREE that means NO Offers haft to be done. So I am really confused..PLEASE HELP ME!! limewire itself isnt illegal because people are supposed to use it to share files and personal stuff. but lots of people use it to share music. when you download this music that theyre sharing, thats whats illegal. and i hate to tell you, but there is nowhere that you can get free music, except for the occasional free offer from different companies. sorry, good lucK!

I wanted to download free music, so i asked on here where to do that and got advised to go onto Limewire. Many people advised it, but several said that it was illegal.
If you are getting the music free, the artist has to consent for it to be legal.brbrTherefore most tunes you get on Limewire is illegal. Some bands have free downloads from their MySpace pages.

Lime wire the program isnt illegal, what is illegal is downloading music that doesnt have a license to it.

It is free and the program itself is legal. Sharing copyrighted material without the owners permission is illegal. Filesharing programs themselves are never illegal. They can, like so many other things, be used for illegal purposes. If you decide to use it for illegal purposes, it will first warn you that what you are doing may be illegal, but you can choose to continue at your own discretion.

i think limewhire is the easiest, after you download the music you need to bring your my music folder up and then min. itbrthen you can drag the songs that you want to burn into the my music folder.brbrAfter you get the folder down you will see on the side were it says burn CD and it will walk you trough it.brbrHope I helped, sorry its confusing.
